IT Equipment Leasing

Enterprise IT equipment rental in Hong Kong — servers, network switches, firewalls, laptops, event WiFi and backup power for short-term projects, network testing, office moves and events. Pre-configured to manufacturer standards, delivered same-day, supported throughout.

Service details

What is IT equipment leasing?

IT equipment leasing lets a business rent servers, network and computer equipment on a daily, weekly or monthly basis instead of buying it outright. The provider handles procurement, configuration, maintenance and collection, and the rental is normally treated as an operating expense.

It makes sense whenever IT needs are short-term or uncertain — proof-of-concept work, a parallel test environment before a migration, an office move or fit-out, exhibitions and large events, seasonal headcount, or emergency replacement. Leasing is faster and more flexible than buying, and avoids idle or obsolete hardware.

Network Star has leased IT equipment to Hong Kong businesses since 2003. Every device is pre-configured to manufacturer standards and backed by a local engineering team, with same-day delivery or on-site setup.

Pricing

How IT equipment leasing is priced

There is no flat rate — the rental depends mainly on:

  • Equipment type and specification (server CPU/RAM, switch port count, etc.)
  • Quantity and rental period (daily, weekly or monthly)
  • Whether delivery, racking, cabling and commissioning are needed
  • Whether on-site engineering or event-day technicians are required

As a rule, the longer the term, the lower the daily cost. We assess your needs and then issue a fixed written quote suitable for company expense claims.

FAQ

IT Equipment Leasing — FAQ

What IT equipment can I lease?

Servers (Dell, Lenovo, HPE), network switches (Cisco, H3C, Huawei), firewalls (Fortinet, Sophos, Juniper, Cisco, Huawei), laptops and iPads, indoor and outdoor WiFi access points (Aruba, Ruckus, UniFi, Huawei), and UPS backup power.

What is the minimum rental period?

We offer daily, weekly and monthly rental. Event gear can be rented by the day; servers and network equipment are usually weekly or monthly. The longer the term, the lower the daily cost.

How is IT equipment leasing priced?

Pricing depends on the equipment type, specification, quantity, rental period and whether on-site engineering or support is required. We assess your needs and issue a formal written quote suitable for company expense claims.

Is the equipment pre-configured?

Yes. Our engineers pre-install, update firmware and configure every device to manufacturer standards (OS, network policies, SSIDs) so it works on delivery, and we can tailor it to your test environment.

Do you provide delivery and installation?

Yes. We arrange delivery, racking, cabling and commissioning across Hong Kong, and same-day on-site setup and tear-down for event venues.

Are technicians available on-site during events?

Yes. Engineers can be stationed at exhibitions, conferences or sporting events to resolve network and equipment issues in real time.

Can I buy the equipment at the end of the lease?

Selected models can be converted to a purchase or bought at end of term, with part of the paid rental credited; terms depend on condition and market value.

Does the service cover all of Hong Kong?

Yes. Network Star has operated since 2003, serving 1,000+ businesses and organisations across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories.
